Are you just getting into the meetings and event industry but you have mastered floorpans, layouts

for banquets, general sessions and table-scaping? Now you’re looking to get out of 2D and create more 3D designs

and creative that aren’t just in a ballroom? Do you consider yourself a team player, that does the basics well and

are looking to prove yourself by delivering “Hey what about this” to light up your team members at the next project

huddle? This is an entry level creative position for an event pro with creative chops and

fundamentals in 2D and 3D designing for meetings and events (both the fun kind…and the boring kind - we got a couple

of those). Practical event experience is a must (no “I helped with my cousin’s wedding”).


FOCUS

Developing creative elements for gatherings and translating those ideas into sketches, renderings, floorplans,

decks and storyboards.


DESIGN OF GATHERING

> 75% Conceptual and schematic design

> 15% Creating “Storytelling”

> 10% Harvesting and developing new ideas and creative


DESIGNING

> Design from conceptual development to schematic design and into final production

> 2D and 3D designs/layouts of room environments, tradeshow booths, scenic and more

> Creating branding for an event the theme, logo, graphic look, etc

> Develop 2D images and graphics

> Help craft compelling renderings and storytelling for client presentations

> Develop and layout materials for presentations via Ember template


TEAM COLLABORATION

> Consults with Brand Experience Managers to fulfill creative and match gathering objectives

> Support Gathering Producers with creative materials, revisions and coming up with solutions

> Collaborate with creative team members to develop a cohesive overall design including the Graphic

Designer and Production Designer

Requirements

ARCHITECTURE OF A DESIGNER

> Proven event experience and knowledge (theater vs. classroom seating, projection throws, etc)

> Degree in Event Management

> Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator

> Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently

> Knowledge of graphic production techniques

> Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and operate within a start up organization and the dynamic

of all levels of Ember personnel and customers

> Expertise in Sketchup and Social Tables

> 1-2+ years of applicable experience

> Enthusiasm and extroversion!!!!!!!!!!
